English or Hinglish? How to choose the language for your captions

The best caption language is the one your customers use when they message you. Here’s how to decide, and how to test it.

Read your messages and reviews

If customers write to you in Hinglish, Hinglish captions will feel natural to them. If they write in English, stay in English.

Match the audience, not your own taste

A manufacturer selling to businesses across India will usually do better in clear English. A café, gym or salon in Pune may feel friendlier in Hinglish.

Keep the key details clear either way

Prices, location, timings and how to contact you should be impossible to misread, whatever language the rest of the caption is in.

You can mix by format

Some brands use Hinglish for reels and stories and English for posts and ads. That works, as long as you stay consistent.

Test it for a few weeks

Try both and compare comments and messages, not likes. Let your customers decide.
